Topic - Covid-19 - Managing the pandemic now and in the future
Please join our virtual TBTA monthly meeting on April 9th
Dr. Kenneth Lindemann, Medical Director at the corporate consulting group of International SOS will provide key insights into the current situation with COVID-19. Dr. Lindemann will provide critical recommendations and best practices for corporations on what they should be doing now, how to better prepare for the future occurrences of pandemics. You will also learn how this may impact ongoing behaviors and policies in our work and lives.

Dr. Kenneth Lindemann is a board-certified internist with more than 25 years of professional leadership experience helping multinational corporations integrate, mitigate, and communicate occupational and global public health risks. From 1989 to 2011, Dr. Lindemann was a member of ExxonMobil’s global health leadership team, where he focused on strategic health management for new exploration ventures, mega-projects, and oil & gas production operations in areas of the world challenged by public health risks and limited medical infrastructure. He is currently principal of shmAdvisors, LLC and serves as a strategic consultant to Corporate Medical Advisors where he provides business-critical advice to entities concerned about managing health-related impacts on global operability, worker well-being, and workforce productivity.

The following list of items applies to all genders. BEAR asks that any donated goods remain unopened and/or have never been used (or worn)

Hygiene Packs (which include 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner, bars of soap, individual toothbrushes and toothpaste, and deodorant – should you want to assemble your own!)
Hair care products (lice shampoo, hair ties, and hair brush/comb)
Baby Hygiene Packs (which include baby wash, baby lotion, baby powder, and diaper rash ointment – should you want to assemble your own!)
Baby wipes
Formula (all types)
Diapers (NB – size 6)
Baby items (pacifier, bib, receiving blanket, and ‘sippy’ cup)
Feminine hygiene products (pads and tampons)
Clothing of all sizes (NB – juniors)
Pajamas of all sizes (NB – juniors)
Socks of all sizes (NB – juniors)
Shoes of all sizes
Underwear of all sizes (child – adult)
Stuffed animals
Toys
Books
Blankets
Duffle bags/overnight bags *Children sometimes have to use trash-bags to hold their items. Together, we can make sure they have more than just a plastic bag.
Household cleaning supplies (Lysol wipes, all-in-one cleaning solution, mops, broom & dustpan set, Fabuloso, laundry detergent, dish-soap, and paper towels)

BEAR Necessities operates nine BEAR rooms throughout Harris County that provide emergency supplies all year round for children who are in CPS care.
Each month, BEAR Rooms provide approximately 1,000 abused and neglected children with essential items.
